a fast painting of the sandworms, you know from Frank Herberts dune novels. I saw a documentation about sea fishes and one had some skin lappets between its jawbones to impress his enemies. Why not transfer this to the imposing worms?
Bless the Maker and His water... bless His comings and goings... may His passage cleanse the world, may He hold the world for his people!!! Ha ha, nice work, the idea of the worms having skin lappets is funny... but they were already pretty intimidating to begin with. Not sure if there is anything they really need to scare, everybody except the Fremen already are.
sandworms....a very popular creature indeed~ two animes that i know of show them in: Tsubasa Tokyo Revelations episode 1(the only episode they are in) and The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye(in some episode but they're call sandragons or somethin'~) XD gotta love those animes~ XD
I agree on all counts! My only complaint with the David Lynch's Dune is the ornithopter. Maybe at the time (pre-CG, using only miniatures) it wasn't possible to do that. But the film is incredibly original. I also love John Schoenherr's paintings for the "Illustrated Dune" - they were reprinted in a 1978 calender I found on eBay
